Once upon a time, in a great jungle, there lived a mighty lion who ruled over all the animals. He was strong and fierce, and all the animals feared him. But there was one animal who was not afraid—the clever tortoise.
One day, the lion was hunting when he stepped on a sharp thorn. “Ouch!” he roared in pain. He tried to remove it with his paw, but it was stuck deep. The lion limped through the jungle, looking for help, but all the animals ran away.
Then, he saw the tortoise sitting under a tree. “Tortoise, help me! I am in great pain,” the lion groaned.
The tortoise smiled and said, “I will help you, but you must promise not to hurt me.”
“I promise!” said the lion, desperate for relief.
The tortoise slowly crawled to the lion’s paw and carefully pulled out the thorn. The lion roared, but this time it was not from pain—it was from joy! “Thank you, Tortoise! You are small, but your heart is big.”
From that day on, the lion and the tortoise became friends. The lion learned that kindness is more powerful than strength, and the tortoise proved that doing good can change even the fiercest hearts.
